:new: This and the rest of the human tutorials in a book: [link]
Full tutorial list: [link]

IMPORTANT: Hybrid populations (such as Filipinos) are not covered in these guides. If any study of their ethnotypes has been conducted, I don't have access to it, and I can't make up facts off the top of my head. Please stop asking!

An extra type, North Chinese, will be added to the book as a bonus (to be notified when the book is ready please note me). Any further corrections will be done directly in the book. I would like to thank the following deviants who helped with corrections and additional info for this tut: ~chickendog, *crazed-fangirl, ~genocide-and-candy, ~dragonorion, ~moire and =mree.

*Full view please!*

This thing is turning out so big I have to post it in parts... Part 1 deals with all the types, spread from Central Asia to the Americas, related to the "archetypical" Asian type known as Mongoloid.

Everything I have to say about this is in the tutorial introduction above, so please read that carefully. I'll just add this: this is a really complex and vast undertaking, and there is data I haven't been able to find yet (such as the height and body type for both male and female for each type). I'll add it when/if I do find it. Corrections and additions are welcome, as long as they have a sound basis or a reliable source. "I have a Malaysian classmate and he doesn't look like this" does not qualify as an educated contribution! On the other hand if you live in a place where the population is mixed and you are aware of details that allow you to identify different nationalities, I would be interested in hearing them. I will show no tolerance for racist or politically correct interventions, so don't even think about it.

If you've ever wondered how to draw people from all around the world, then =Cedarseed's tutorial Guide to Human Types part 1 will set you off to a great start. This is the first in an ongoing series to show you how to draw people of all different nationalities. Very well researched and presented, something you should definately not miss! Congratulations--what an accomplishment, and I think this will be VERY useful to me!

If anybody mistakes this for "racist", frankly, they're idiots. There are two features of your work that make it very clear you're not (besides your written explanation).

1) Even in these basic forms, I think you've created pretty attractive representatives of each group. That right there shows respect.

2) On a related point, by taking the time to relate that culture's beauty standard, you make it clear you're broad-minded and that you are not judging these groups by Western standards (i.e. stupid stuff like "everybody belonging to _______ group is unattractive" or other such nonsense).

That's neat, too, that the Native Americans are related. I found myself recognizing them more easily and being able to place what region they belonged to--especially the ones from the Southwest because I'm interested in that area. :-)

On a side note...I bet it's gonna feel funky when you start doing the Middle Eastern sheet (or whatever sheet that belongs to).

Ah, make the most of what we yet may spend,
Before we too into the Dust descend;
Dust into Dust, and under Dust to lie
Sans Wine, sans Song, sans Singer, and--sans End!
