I went on a little photo trip to Tripoli yesterday. Last time I was there was 12 july 2006, the day the war started... The city's been almost completely gentrified since then, it's amazing. We had a great time, my friend pretended to be an American tourist and I was "translating" his requests to take people's portraits. It amused them to no end but they indulging the "foreigner", so there were some memorable moments!
This was shot from the top of the citadel of the Crusaders, which literally dominates the city. The housing you see on the right are actually a kind of suburb. The main body of Tripoli is on the other side for the citadel and that sprawls all the way to the sea.
Wow. :0 Just curious; how do you get such a wide range for the picture?

Man, this reminds me quite a bit of Jerusalem, though I admit that's just me assigning association to something based on my limited context The one thing that's missing though: a bunch of HUGE antennae and satellite dishes!

Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
I'm featuring a little part of the deviant community ! Asked few days ago, and requested everyone to show me their 3 favourites photos in their own gallery, and the 3 most popular!
So, here is it.
Follow me if you want to be in the next feature, I'll create a new poll for it soon!
